Mr. Joseph J. LoRusso, age 82, of Saugus, formerly of Everett, died peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Sunday, October 12th at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington. He was the beloved husband of Dianne (Fortini) LoRusso with whom he shared 42 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Everett, Mr. LoRusso was the son of the late Sabato and Anna (Staffieri) LoRusso. He was Chief of Operations for 40 years for the Registry of Motor Vehicles and was a member of the Everett Knights of Columbus. Joseph loved March 19th, San Giuseppe (his name) Day. He enjoyed going to breakfast with his brother and cousins. He liked playing and teaching golf and loved passing on Italian traditions to his family and loved his grandchildren. Joseph also enjoyed taking trips to the Cape and to Maine and loved taking walks on Old Orchard Beach with his wife.
In addition to his wife, Mr. LoRusso is survived by two daughters, Maryellen Mojica and her husband Jose of Saugus and Melissa Natale and her husband Giancarlo of Wilmington; three grandchildren, Marina, Dominic and Vincenzo; one sister, Phyllis Raftelis and her late husband Nick of Saugus; two brothers, Vincent LoRusso and his wife Sandra of Saugus and Leonard LoRusso of Everett; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his two lifelong friends, his brother-in-law John Fortini, who drove him to many of his medical appointments and Joe Conti. Joseph was predeceased by his beloved son, Joseph A. LoRusso and his sister, Connie Quevillon and her husband Leo.

SERVICE INFORMATION
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Ave., SAUGUS on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. (please meet at church) at Blessed Sacrament Church, 14 Summer St., Saugus followed by entombment at Holy Cross Mausoleum in Malden.
