Biography: Spent 4 years in the US Air Force; 3 of which were in Germany, where I met my wife Bridget (a US military dependent) while on a USO tour to the Black Forest. Bridget & I have 2 children - a son Scott (graduate of North Carolina State University), and a daughter Traci (graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro). I worked for IBM for 35 years in various assignments in MA, NY state (1978-87) & NC (1987-2002). I was laid off as part of a "resource action" in Feb. 2002. This prompted Bridget & I to "downsize". We sold our house and had a new smaller house built, which we moved into in mid-August 2002. Bridget quit her job as an elementary school teaching partner in April 2002 so that she could provide day care for our grandchildren, Nathan & Nora. After retiring from IBM, I traveled around the the US doing some part time consulting work for IBM, until August 2007, when I fully retired. I am currently the webmaster for 2 Air Force veterans groups (TAC Missileers - www.TacMissileers.org & Sembach Missileers - www.SembachMissileers.org) and keep busy walking and cycling.
