Barry E. Anderson
Barry E. Anderson, 80, of Danvers, passed away on June 21, 2025, following a lengthy illness.
Born in Chelsea on August 21, 1944, he was the son of the late Bertil and Rita (Greek) Anderson. Barry was raised and educated in Everett and was a proud graduate of Everett High School, Class of 1962.
For the past 47 years, Barry made his home in Danvers. He spent much of his career in steel sales before later working as a machinist at Suffolk Downs until his retirement.
Barry was a man of many interests and simple joys. He found great happiness in fishing, gardening, camping, golf, and riding his ATV. In his younger years, he enjoyed candlepin bowling.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Antoinette D. (Jones) Anderson; his two cherished sons, Thomas Anderson and his wife Melissa of Atlanta, and John Christopher “Ducky” Anderson of Danvers; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, the late Carl Anderson.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm Street, Danvers Square.
