METHUEN – Gail Jean (Gianatassio) DiBattista, 71, of Methuen, formerly of Danvers, beloved wife of Joseph P. DiBattista passed away on April 18, 2016 in her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Everett, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Anita (Raffo) Gianatassio. Raised and educated in Everett, Gail graduated from Everett High School class of 1962 as their proud Valedictorian. She continued her education at Fisher Junior College.

A dedicated and hard worker, Mrs. DiBattista set no limits to her goals. She began her professional career as a medical transcriber for several hospitals. Later Gail began a career as a court reporter and founded her own company as part owner of G & M Court Reporters in Boston. She was known for her attention to detail throughout her profession.

A long time resident of the town of Danvers, Gail loved to read, travel and spend time with her family and friends. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Gail was dedicated to her family was truly an inspiration to those who knew and loved her, she will be deeply missed.

Gail is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Joseph P. DiBattista of Methuen, her children, Jodi Barron and her husband Scott of Salem, NH, Jill McGrail and her husband Christopher of Merimac and Jay DiBattista and his wife Meredith of Westwood, her 10 grandchildren, her 2 great grandchildren, her sisters Carol Forni and her husband Frederick of Wells, ME and Lynda Clifford and her husband William of Hampton, NH and several nieces and nephews and extended family.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral Mass will be held in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, Conant St., Danvers, Thursday, April 21st at 12:30 P.M. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Visiting hours prior to the Mass in the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St., (rte 62) Danvers, Thursday from 9 A.M. to 12 Noon. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Gail’s memory to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, Ma 01923.
