Robert F. Cunningham Jr.

Robert F. Cunningham Jr. “Butchie” 71, passed away on April 26 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Robert was born in Everett on November 22, 1943, one of four children of the late Robert F. Sr. and Bessie (MacLeod) Cunningham. Robert was a life-long Everett resident and graduated from Everett High School Class of 1962. Robert was a retired Melrose Police Officer and he was the Past President of Melrose Patrolman’s Association and member of the Melrose Elks. His talents as a cook will never be forgotten, he loved cooking for family and friends. He loved gathering everyone together to share stories and a home cooked meal. Robert spent his entire life working hard but his great and most cherished accomplishment was his family. Robert was married to the love of his life and cherished partner for 50 years, Sharyn (Crist) Cunningham. Robert was the proud and loving father of Scott of Everett and Karyn LaBella and her husband Patrick of Everett. He was the Brother of Bette Sullivan and her husband Loran of Georgetown, Anna Long and her husband Clarence of Canada and the late Barbara Delano and her surviving husband Walter of Billerica. He was the brother-in-law of Denis Crist of Everett and grandfather of Jamie, Cameron, Deven, Kaylee, Robert and Elizabeth. Robert was also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held at 11am at the Murphy O’Hara Funeral Home 519 Broadway Everett on Thursday. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 4 to 8pm. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery Everett.
