This fall Everett High School will hold its city-wide EHS HOMECOMING 2011 festivities on Saturday, October 15, 2011.

Homecoming Day in Everett is now a city tradition, filled with wonderful events including the community breakfast at the High School, the Road Race and the popular Homecoming Parade and Homecoming Football Game.  This year the EHS Crimson Tide team will face its old rival, Xaverian High School.

EHS HOMECOMING 2011 would like to give special recognition to Everett High School’s 1961 Crimson Tide Football Team and Cheerleaders on their 50th Anniversary.

As a 1961 Team Member or Cheerleader, you are invited to attend the day-long EHS HOMECOMING 2011 festivities as Everett High School’s special stars!

You and your spouse/family are invited to begin EHS HOMECOMING 2011 with a private breakfast as our guests in the Crimson Café, located in the new High School at 100 Elm Street.  A full selection of breakfast foods and beverages will be offered from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. along with memories of the 1961 Crimson Tide’s undefeated season that sent Everett High School’s team to compete in the Florida Orange Bowl.

You are also invited to be in the EHS HOMECOMING 2011 Parade.  Transportation by bus will be provided for you and everyone should be at Glendale Park by 11:45 a.m.

At the Parade’s conclusion, the1961 Football Team Members and Cheerleaders will go directly onto Everett Memorial Field for a special 50th Anniversary Recognition before the start of the football game at 2:00pm.  There also will be free game tickets and reserved seating in the bleachers on Everett’s side provided for 1961 Team Members, Cheerleaders, and their guests who wish to stay.

If you and your spouse/family would like to attend EHS HOMECOMING 2011 as Everett High School’s special guests, or if you have any questions concerning the day’s activities, please contact Miss Gina Grande, Everett Public Schools Administrative Assistant, at 617-394-2400, or email her at ggrande@everett.k12.ma.us.  Please be sure to contact Miss Grande before September 15th, to let her know your plans.

We would also like to ask for your help contacting every member of 1961’s team.  If you have a recent address of any 1961 Team Member or Cheerleader, especially an address of someone who has moved out of Massachusetts, please contact Miss Grande (see above).

EHS HOMECOMING 2011 is a wonderful opportunity to meet old friends, see the new High School, check out the recent renovations to Everett Memorial Stadium, and watch a great football game!  Don’t miss out!

Sincerely yours,

Frederick F. Foresteire
