Lois Ann Boyd, age 70, of Shore Road in Alton, NH, died December 6, 2014.
Born November 4, 1944 in Everett, MA, daughter of Raymond A. and Ruth B. (Hickey) Mercier, she resided in Alton, NH since 2000, having come from Ipswich, MA.
Prior to retirement, she was employed as a Secretary with Scanditronix and Checkoway Oil. Lois enjoyed traveling and shopping.
Widow of the late Ronald A. Boyd, she is survived by their two children: Dr. Cheryl A. Boyd-Bruhm and husband David Bruhm of Madbury, NH, Steven R. and wife Kristina Boyd of Hampton, NH, 4 grandchildren: Mackenzie and Cooper Bruhm, Brendan and Devan Boyd, brother: Raymond A. Mercier of Malden, MA, sister: Linda and husband Alan Williams of Haverhill, MA, niece: Lisa Russo and nephew: Michael Brown.
Calling hours are Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm at Peaslee Alton Funeral Home, 12 School Street, Alton, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 10:30am at St. Katharine Drexel Church, 40 Hidden Springs Road (Route 28N), Alton, NH with Fr. Robert F. Cole, pastor, as celebrant. Interment in the spring at Lake View Cemetery, Wolfeboro, NH. If desired, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
