Mary Ann (Costa) King 
Peabody, Everett – King, Mary Ann (Costa), of Everett and West Peabody, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones through her courageous end of life journey, on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 80 years of age. Beloved wife of the late James B. King. Daughter of the late Thomas Costa Sr and Susie Fusi Costa of Everett. Devoted mother of Suzanne Kivekas and husband Steven of Ipswich, and James R. King of West Peabody. Cherished nana of Morgyn B. Kivekas of Peabody, Jake R. Kivekas of Ipswich, and Max O. Kivekas of Ipswich. Also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews. Mary Ann’s family was her world. She took great pleasure in watching her three grandchildren grow up. Family and friends will honor Mary’s life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home ~ North Shore Chapel, 10 Chestnut Street, Peabody, on Wednesday, February 14th from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. and again on Thursday, February 15th at 9:30 A.M. before leaving in procession to Saint Adelaide’s Church, Peabody, for a funeral Mass celebrating her life at 11:00 A.M. Committal services will be private. One of Mary Ann’s favorite activities was bingo. She was a force to be reckoned with, with her 18+ bingo cards. Mary Ann showed love through her cooking and feeding others. She loved spending summers with her family in Maine at Sebago Lake. When she wasn’t exercising her love of retail therapy she was the most dedicated employee of T.J. Maxx for 29 years where she worked until she was no longer able to.
