Stanley T. King

Mr. Stanley T. King, age 79, of Middleton, formerly of Saugus, died on Tuesday, March 14th at Beverly Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Patricia (McKinnon) King with whom he shared 56 years of marriage.

Born and raised in Everett, Stan was the son of the late William H. and Gladys (Myles) King. He was a retired State Quartermaster and was retired from the MBTA. A resident of Saugus, before moving to Middleton 9 years ago, Stan was a former Saugus Town Meeting member, former School Committee member and a member of the Housing Authority. A US Navy Veteran, he was a member of the DAV and of the American Legion in Middleton. Stan also served as a Past State and District 10 VFW Commander and Saugus DeFranzo Post Commander.

In addition to his wife, Stan is survived by his two daughters, Michelle Wildman and her husband Paul of N. Reading and Colleen Wildman and her husband Kevin of Saugus; was cherished Poppy of four grandchildren, Christopher, Megan, Colin and Justin; one great granddaughter, Ella; and one brother, Wayne King and his wife Karen of Merrimack, NH; and sister-in-law, Kathleen Liston of GA. Stan is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, William King and two sisters, Eleanor King and Phyllis Mercer.

SERVICE INFORMATION

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Ave., SAUGUS on Sunday from 2-6 p.m. with VFW services taking place at 5:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. followed by interment in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.
